We are looking to hire a Sales Manager to join our team! Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will guide teams in Costa Rica and Australia in a dynamic manner while actively supplying to individual sales efforts. This hybrid role requires a balance between strategic leadership and hands-on selling, making it ideal for someone who thrives in both coaching and deals-closing.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead Sales team in different regions, including setting weekly, monthly, and yearly targets, supervising call-conversion performance, providing direction and support for Sales Agents to ensure consistently excellent performance and a positive team spirit.
  • Conduct regular one-to-ones and team meetings to lead, mentor, and empower your team’s reports while leading team schedules, working time, rotas, holidays, overtime, and planning.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and support to enhance team effectiveness, and identify training needs to create clear capability plans with regular SMART reviews.
  • Work with the Head of Sales plus Sales Operations to deliver additional training requirements, including SBR training, Sales Academy, and product, service, procedures, and systems training.
  • Maintain team spirit through active listening, support, and the creation of team-building activities throughout the year.
  • Drive improvement using sales trackers, call conversion reports, and other key performance metrics to identify issues, and develop and implement solutions.
  • Share updates, performance insights, and feedback with the wider management team in key meetings such as weekly trading calls.
  • Work with leadership to implement regional initiatives and incentives aligned with business needs and ensure effective communication of those incentives and rewards to the team.
  • Lead by example by actively engaging in sales activities including prospecting, pitching, and closing deals, while maintaining and growing key client relationships.
  • Collaborate with senior management to set sales targets, growth strategies, and align your efforts with broader business objectives.
  • Preparing regular reports on sales performance, pipeline management, and forecasting.
  • Partner with Leadership of Sales and Operations to instill a customer-centric culture across the teams, creating an environment where each team member takes ownership of customer satisfaction, loyalty, and effective issue resolution.
  • Ensure the team communicates brilliantly across business, sharing information and using collective knowledge to develop a consistent understanding of the end-to-end customer experience.
  • Support regional CRM and customer retention initiatives such as outbound calling, ensuring your team is equipped to support regional event activity, including events like boat shows.

What you’ll bring:

  • A confirmed experience in sales, with experience in both individual selling and leading small teams to achieve outstanding performance.
  • At least 3 years in Sales, including a minimum of 1 year in a people management role.
  • Previous experience in a sales and customer service environment, with familiarity using booking systems and supporting CRM and retention initiatives
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills with a hands-on approach and a focus on team development!
  • Excellent communication, listening, and negotiation skills — you enjoy speaking with customers, have a clear and friendly telephone voice, and build strong relationships.
  • Analytical mentality with the ability to interpret sales data and use insights to drive performance and decision-making.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot, with a shown grasp of sales trackers and performance reporting.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills — you can handle multiple workflows and adapt quickly to shifting priorities or last-minute trading requirements.
  • Confidence in planning and leading team resources efficiently, ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes, budgets, and standards.
  • A customer-first approach, always aiming to go above and beyond and create positive, consistent experiences.
  • Commercially driven individual with attention to continuous improvement and a dedication to achieving high performance.
  • A friendly, positive, and resilient personality who enjoys working with peers and leading by example and is adaptable to change and open to collaboration across all areas of the business.
  • High level of flexibility and emotional resilience — you can work efficiently with a wide range of personalities and bounce back from setbacks with a “bring it on” demeanor.
  • Fluent English is a plus; additional languages such as Spanish, Italian, or German are a plus.
  • Willingness to occasionally work on Saturdays or Sundays as part of our rota.
